VT Round Two

It's been slow for us the last 2 weeks. We didn't hit a "lot" of raid mobs, but we did hit mobs with quality loot.

We were short on numbers the past 2 weeks, so we weren't able to try some of the higher tier PoP mobs we were hoping for. So to pass time we did a few more of the "trial" type runs to make sure we have more than enough flagged for events when are attendance is back up. These were mainly the HoH trials and the Carprin cycle.

We managed to finish our Saryrn key finally. That was holding us back for a while simply because we could always find something up to raid for loot. But since we lacked numbers for our normal mobs, we finally sucked it up and ran the Stomach event. Now we have to convince Jizma to play 24/7 so that we always have our key in case we find her up with sufficient numbers for the encounter.

We did manage to take down Emp with a low turnout again. That's always a lotta fun. And Zlayer finally managed to live through the entire fight! After Emp, we ran down and raped Cursed again. And with our Emp numbers, we zerged the hell out of XTC. Boo...no EB weapons this run!

We were all set up for a weekend VT run, then SOE decided to slap out a patch and that put our turn up smack dab in the middle of the week (thanks IH for the emergency coth!). That didn't bother us an awful lot. We ran in and cleared out the candy store again and got our 2nd AHR kill. Of course, a lot of our members ended up sleeping the next day at work.

That's really about all there is for this update. Hopefully we'll be back on track in terms of raids as soon as Spring Break is over.

And here's the lewtz...

Flags, Flags, and More Flags

It was a busy week for us in terms of raids. We didn't hit a lot of our usual targets. Instead, we concentrated our efforts on PoP again in hopes of moving up to the Elementals soon.

We spent most of the week taking out a lot of pre-flag trials, and nabbed a few other flags in the process.

We knocked out quite a few Grummus and Terris Thule flags early in the week. After seeing how simple those were, we moved on to some harder flagging targets that we found up.

The big flagging kill for us was Behemoth. He didn't prove to be that difficult, but he was the big kill mainly for 3 reasons:

1) It opened up Tactics for our guild. Yay, Zek raids!
2) It proved that some of our members weren't just blowing smoke when they had posted on another board about our ability to kill this mob.
3) We flagged 60+ members on this one mob with 0 members at the raid missing out on getting flagged.

We took down all 3 of the HoH trials. The only one that proved to be any kind of a problem was RD, but after we made adjustments to our strats, he fell easily.

We've tried Agnarr 2 times, with a failure from both attempts. After our first attempt, we adjusted our strats and went in to try it again. We soon learned that our adjustments were way off base, so we're back to the drawing board on that encounter. I'm pretty optimistic when it comes to our ability to learn an encounter, and I'm betting we'll have this flag finished early this week.

We tried snagging some Zek flags and we should have had them, but the event was bugged and we never had our little Planar Projection guy spawn. So we'll keep on hitting those until we have those flags down.

Other than those flagging parties, there really wasn't a whole lot of those "phat lewtz" raids that we've grown accustomed to having. We did run in and kill Cursed again, but the silly fugger refused to give us another Bloodfrenzy so soon after our first one.

Here's the money shot, but there's really not a whole lot to show here since tier 1 & tier 2 flag mobs have really crappy loot tables!
