Comments: New Job + WTS House

Congrats.

The sticker shock here is intensely awful. If our home in Francesville were here in Detroit, it'd probably be worth 2-3 times as much as we paid for it in Indiana. Going from a really nice house to one that is so-so is pretty tough. Hey, but if you end up wanting to rent, let us know maybe we can find a duplex or somethin.

yay for you!
boo for the rest of us stuck here in middle of nowhere.

I preferred the middle of nowhere, myself. I hate city living and the probability of actually having neighbors. Heh

I made the realty lady feel bad for me when I told her my house was 2000 sq feet. :P Wonder what she would have said if I had told her it was on a river....

I miss the city.
The parks and bike trails, restaurants, shopping, theaters(both movie and live), indoor soccer, hanging out on the plaza or in a barnes and noble on fri. night, smell of the folgers plant downtown, pro-sports, museums, just cruising downtown.
I would like the middle of nowhere probably a little more if it was wooded and hilly(unlike here), and it wasn't all private property, corn fields, and fences.
Ahh,
I miss the city.

Ya, cost of living in Detroit is a little high.

Oh ya, so did you go out with a bang? or peacefully?
