Elder berries are small (bb sized) black colored berries. They are a pain in the butt to pick, and thats why you probably haven't ever seen/had any of them. I know a couple years ago (like 10) me and Grandpa went back to their woods and picked enough to make a couple jellies....but even that took all day. Pretty good if you ask me. Also, they grow on a bush, kind of like those little red berries people plant for birds to eat, that everyone else hates because they are such a mess to clean off the sidewalks.
